"...From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." — Luke (No, not Luke Skywalker, the other one!) Are you looking for "just" a career opportunity, or are you ready to give your best and receive the best in return?
Of course, "best" is a relative term. To some, a corner office or impressive title is the most important thing. To others, it might be a company car. Why stop at a couple of perks, though?
In short, for the right person, GRPMAX can offer you as good a career opportunity as you're likely to find anywhere, and probably one that's much better. Only, though, for those very special people who not only appreciate all of the above, but who have as much to offer GRPMAX in return. In addition, you must be highly literate, computer savvy, flexible, detail-oriented, and possess an above-average ability to learn new skills. Interested? If so, please see below to apply.
Global Requirements Each opening will have its own specific requirements that will be spelled out in the job listing. However, there are a variety of core competencies that ALL applicants must posses. It has been well documented that despite our great country being one of the leading nations, our literacy rate trails behind that of many other industrialized countries. It is equally well documented that for that reason even business correspondence, advertising, etc., typically be kept at an eight grade reading level, or below. In the workplace, send the average person an email consisting of a sentence to a paragraph or two in length, and there will likely be a reply; two sentences or two paragraphs, and there will be a reply. However, send an email three sentences or paragraphs in length or more and the likelihood of receiving a timely reply, or even any reply at all, diminishes. And we're still only talking about reading. An even higher percentage lack solid composition, editorial, and/or grammatical abilities. Here at GRPMAX we place great emphasis on literacy, and require that all candidates posses above average to well above average literacy, as measured by your reading AND writing skills, as well as your verbal communication skills. You must be able to present yourself clearly, articulately, and professionally, with excellent diction and command of the English language.
Tech Savvy Despite computer technology being ever present and ubiquitous in the modern age in which will live a large percentage of those in the workplace lack a high degree of computer literacy. If you struggle with computer technology please do not apply, as you simply will not be able to make the cut here at GRPMAX. One of THE most important qualities that we look for in candidates is their ability to find their own way around a computer, without frequent calls to the Help Desk or needing someone to hold their hand. We're looking for the kind of person who can be set in front of a brand new application they've never seen before, and instead of being intimidated or clueless as to what to do, use the built-in or online Help and Documentation to quickly get up to speed, on his or her own. We're not saying that training isn't available, but we are saying that we prefer to focus our training efforts and resources on the projects and tasks that you will be working on rather than on helping you find your way around a computer. Example: In order to help her complete a task one of our star Team Members was recently presented with a brand new software application that was not already installed on her PC. She had only 10 minutes before she was scheduled to be off work. She installed the application, had it up and running, navigated to the needed function, and completed the task in the available time. Please note this was not done to add pressure, nor did she feel any pressure, nor was it a test. Rather, being completely un-intimidated by computer technology she took it all in stride with hardly a thought. The PC that you will be assigned will come preconfigured with the applications you be using already installed. The above example was a case where an immediate need arose and having that particular Team Member quickly install a new application herself was a practical option. However, if you are similarly computer savvy and confident then you'll fit in well here!
Culture Much of what is on this page describes the culture that we strive to foster and encourage at GRPMAX. One of the most interesting things about our approach is that truly exceptional individuals who are members of the Twenty Percent Club will be attracted to it and find it a natural, if not welcome, fit. If you've been in a job before where you didn't feel your talents or contributions were appreciated, or perhaps even found that being innovative (and/or thinking outside the box), truly good at what you do, and maybe even a cut above the rest, was to your disadvantage rather than your advantage, then you'll like our culture here at GRPMAX. Individuals who are a part of the "Eighty Percent Club," or who are unsure of themselves or their skills, lack confidence and self assurance, etc., will be ill suited for this type of approach and not a good fit.
Adaptable, Flexible, and Not Afraid of Change Aside from death and taxes one of the only sure things in life is change! And nothing changes faster than modern technology. Yet, change, and learning something new, is one of the things that most people are most resistant to. At GRPMAX change (in the form of continuous improvement for the better) is a constant and a given. If you are most comfortable doing things the way you've always done them and find yourself resistant to doing things in a new, different, or better way, then, likewise, you won't be able to make the cut here. If you are able to quickly grasp and adapt to new concepts and ideas, and different and/or better ways of doing things (and better yet come up with your own ideas), you'll fit in nicely.
Detail Oriented Have you ever called a company that you are a customer of, especially a larger company, about a previous issue, and the representative you get on the other end of the phone says that he or she "can find no such notes in the system?" And so you have to start at the beginning and explain everything all over again because the last person you talked with took poor or nonexistent notes? This ties partially into the literacy issue mentioned above. Additionally, though, we look for individuals who are highly organized and detail oriented. That means that you are easily able to adapt to an organized way of doing things, and that you are accustomed to taking detailed notes.
The Twenty Percent Club It has been well proven that only 20 percent of the average workforce accounts for 80 percent of the productivity within the typical large (or even not so large) organization. In short, there are a large number of employees within the workforce who are accustomed to getting by on less than a best effort or performance. But it doesn't work that way here at GRPMAX. We aim to hire only those exceptional individuals who consider themselves members of what we refer to as the "Twenty Percent Club," the kind of person who seems to get eight times as much work done faster and more efficiently than his or her fellow co-worker without even breaking a sweat. And we'd like to emphasize that, while we do appreciate hard work, and appreciate a good work ethic even more, we have zero interest in overworking you. We don't want your experience at GRPMAX to be a "grind," but a pleasure. Rather, we are talking here about the smarter individual who has mastered (or able to quickly learn) the art of working smarter and getting more done, faster, and more efficiently, than most.
You're a "Self Starter" That cliché phrase is used here slightly tongue and cheek, since it is so often cited by so many, both employers as well as by job seekers alike. However, to be successful at GRPMAX you must be able to effectively operate independently and autonomously. You will report to one or more Team Leaders, so you will not be without assistance, training, coaching, leadership, mentorship, or supervision. That said, however, neither do we want someone who has to be told everything to do, when to do it, or how.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Millions of American workers have become millionaires by joining the right company at the right time as they watched their stock options grow over time. It is our sincerest hope that the same will be true for numerous bright individuals who choose to join GRPMAX, and there couldn't be a better time than now! We're a company with a long history that bodes well for many more good years to come. At the same time, we're embarking on numerous new technology and Internet projects that bring with them the innovation, excitement, and energy, more associated with a startup. So you can enjoy the best of both Worlds.
Compensation Compensation varies according to job description. However, in general, GRPMAX sets a base pay that is LESS than a comparable position elsewhere, but with added incentives, such as predefined performance bonuses, spot bonuses, and other incentives that, with good performance, allow the Team Member to earn MORE than he or she would in a comparable position elsewhere. The base pay may be as much as 40% lower than a standard wage, while the upside enables most Team Members to earn as much as 40% more, or above. For example, if a position might ordinarily be expected to pay $50,000 according to industry averages, GRPMAX might initially offer $30,000 as the base pay. However, bonuses and incentives might be added to enable that Team Member to earn up to $70,000, or more. If a position might ordinarily be expected to pay $20,000 according to industry averages, GRPMAX might initially offer $12,000 as the base pay. However, bonuses and incentives might be added to enable that Team Member to earn up to $28,000, or more. If a position might ordinarily be expected to pay $100,000 according to industry averages, GRPMAX might initially offer $60,000 as the base pay. However, bonuses and incentives might be added to enable that Team Member to earn up to $140,000, or more. And so on...
